Our Founder

The computer graphics and digital imaging industry has matured and grown in concert with the career of Mr. Phillips M. Lippincott, which began in 1968 as an engineer with Northrop Corporation. During the proceeding years, he has successfully directed all aspects of engineering, product management, and marketing operations of computer graphics within Control Data as Graphic Product Manager, and as founder and President of AZTEK, since 1980.

Mr. Lippincott has generated three (3) computer graphic and scanning patents, has been personally involved in the successful development of more than  one-hundred imaging products, a founding member of SIGGRAPH, and member of Computer Graphics Pioneers.  He has continued to demonstrate his dedication to the growth and development of the digital PhotoLab® integrated image production software for scanning, photo printing, and film production.

Mission

AZTEK's dynamic innovation and performance in the digital imaging field has resulted in it having been the first choice of many knowledgeable professional users throughout the world. AZTEK has sold over three hundred (300) major production facilities/systems to a variety of FORTUNE 500 Companies, United States Government and foreign corporate institutions. In recent years with expansion of digital imaging this now includes professional commercial Fine Art, Photo Laboratories and service bureaus as well.

AZTEK has dedicated itself to being an innovative leader in new product development for the growing computer graphics industry through constant and on going research and development. This research and development allows AZTEK to provide new systems and products, while existing systems remain compatible and updated to the latest technological advancements. These have included device, resolution and film media independent production systems for film, photo print and video creations. Ultra High Res., Speed  and Quality Optical Quality Film Scanning, Platform Independent Imaging Network Systems, are only a few of the base technology areas.

All AZTEK products are device and resolution independent and totally compatible with each other; AZTEK Automated Update Service (AUStm) assures that all AZTEK products can never slip into obsolescence by providing new features and capabilities to old systems regardless of when they were purchased. None of AZTEK's customers with this service have ever encountered obsolescence due to new innovations in technology.

AZTEK products are focused to provide unique productivity and quality benefits. AZTEK software and systems lower the production cost of graphics through ease of use, increased productivity and better photo image quality. Features include "Totally Unattended" scanning and production management output to and from print, and film.
